CRER have today (11th March) launched their manifesto for race equality in Scotland.
CRER’s research shows clearly the extent of the racial inequalities that persist in Scottish society. Racial inequalities, particularly the economic ones, will only be heightened by the Covid-19 pandemic. The ramifications of this will continue far into the next Scottish Parliament term.
So much work remains to be done to reduce racial inequality in Scotland. Progress to date has been hampered by actions which are ineffective or simply not implemented. Change will only come if specific, targeted, robust action is taken.
We believe that the following manifesto commitments would kickstart the road to change on race equality in Scotland.
