From 25 November: the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women,

to 10 December:  Human Rights Day,

the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign is a time to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world.

Making Young People Equally Safe, launching the Guideline for Responding to Gender Based Violence in a Youth Setting.

LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND: Working in Partnership to End Gender-based Violence
Thursday, December 7, University of Strathclyde – Technology and Innovation Centre, 99 George Street, Glasgow G1 1RD. 9.30 am to 1.30 pm (registration opens at 9:00am).  This event is free.
The theme for the 16 Days of International Activism against Violence against Women 2017 is ’Leave no one behind’. Scotland’s Further and Higher Education sectors play a key role in ensuring our young people achieve their full potential and recognise their responsibilities for preventing violence against women and gender-based violence (GBV) on their campuses. This half-day seminar will demonstrate the value of partnership working for universities and colleges working to prevent gender-based violence. A packed programme will showcase current developments and examples of good practice in cross-sector and multi-agency partnership working on an issue which affects communities across Scotland.

Improving Outcomes In Money Advice – 16 Days Of Action – Stakeholder Workshop And Learning Event

Her Spirit will Soar , she will fly and be free from abuse.

Join us for our theatre and see the journey of women from all walks of life’s overcoming abuse. Our event will show case four mini productions and tell stories of Gender Inequality, Forced Marriage, Family Abuse in Marriage and the Controlling Partner. These Stories will take you on a journey of women’s strong spirit and resilience in times of adversity and hardship when dealing with abuse.
